Sustain-Ability:
Re:Mixing Today's Education System One School at a Time

With over 25 years of combined teaching experience in public and private schools throughout the United States and abroad, The Hip Hop Re:Education Project is at the forefront of today's progressive arts-education movement. The HHREP is committed to an interdisciplinary approach intrinsically found in Hip Hop culture and the arrtistic crafts of song-writing, recording and performance to transform teacher practice, develop culturally responsive curricula and improve student attendance and academic achievement.

Our artistic teaching staff of former classroom teachers and past program participants partner with current academic classroom teachers to develop and implement arts-integrated curricula that support skill development and mastery over common-core academic standards. We also partner with schools and universities to offer a variety of curricular and professional development services.

Here are some photos from a recent science and song-writing integration at One World Middle School in Bronx, NY.
